The People's Open Golf Tournament is open to all amateur golfers over the age of 18 (as April 1st 2010) with a maximum handicap of 24. Bookings for POGT 2010 will commence on October 14th 2009 and it is anticipated that the Tournament will attract sufficient entries to stage more than one qualifying round in challenging venues throughout the UK. REGIONAL QUALIFIERS The Regional Qualifying Rounds will be played between April and July 2010. There will be reserved tee times for a maximum of 60 players (20 x 3 ball) per course, with the top 10% of players from each round progressing to either a further Qualifying Round (subject to number of entrants) or directly to The Final at St Andrews. We shall again be using Stableford scoring 3/4 of handicap maximum 24. THE FINAL On Monday 23rd August 2010 there will be reserved tee times for the 39 regional qualifiers (13 x 3 ball) at the Castle Course, the newest of the Links courses at St. Andrews. The top 6 players will then compete on the Old Course on Tuesday 24th August 2010 for the title of the People's Open Golf Champion 2010. ENTRY FEE The entry fee for POGT 2010 will be £47.50 per person.
