| REGIONAL QUALIFIERS |

The organisers will notify competitors
of their place in the Regional Qualifying rounds.
Competitors must complete the official
Booking Form and return it together with the payment
fee of £75.00 to the organisers.
Starting times, course to be played
and names of playing partners will be sent to all
competitors.
Competitors must report to the
starter 10 minutes before their allocated tee off
time.
In the event of bad weather competitors
will be offered an alternative date to play their
round and or the result may be decided by playing
less than 18 holes.
A percentage of top scores will
qualify for the Final. Details will be given prior
to start of play and be in accordance with the numbers
participating.
Score cards shall be forwarded
to the organisers who will verify their scores and
notify the winners of their place in the Final.
Competitors cancelling their booking
of a place in the qualifying rounds will forfeit the
fees paid. They may substitute their place to another
competitor at the discretion of the organisers.
Competitors shall ensure that they
wear clothing in accordance with the guidelines as
approved by the courses they shall be playing.
The organisers reserve the right
to supply items of clothing which shall be worn by
all competitors when competing.
Competitors must walk at all times
during a stipulated round unless permitted to ride
by the organisers.
Carrying devices of clubs will
be as approved by the course's being played.
All competitors must present a current handicap certificate
signed and dated by a club/society official at check
in prior to start of play.

THE FINAL
Competitors must agree to notify
the organisers of any change in their handicap after
the Regional Qualifying rounds and up to the Final
(by 30th September 2009). |

The People's
Open Golf Tournament will be decided by stroke
play (Stableford scoring ¾ of handicap maximum
24) in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved
by the R&A Rules Limited and in accordance with
the local rules.
In the event of a tie the winner
will be decided by a count back of the final 3 holes
- the final 6 holes etc.
The starting field shall be 60
players. They will play 18 holes on the Ailsa Course
at Turnberry Golf Club.
Competitors shall at all times
be liable for the action of their caddies.
Competitors must not make use of
any drug to enhance performance. Competitors who are
on medication and in doubt as to their clinical status
should seek advice from the tournament organisers.
A reserve list of competitors will
be announced in the event of a competitor/s not being
able to play in the final week.
The organisers reserve the right
to amend the tournament rules and the decision of
the organisers will in all matters be final.
IN THE EVENT OF INSUFFICIENT
BOOKINGS THE ORGANISERS WILL AFTER MAKING A FULL REFUND
OF TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEES HAVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL
THE TOURNAMENT.
